Serolsar Lake is situated in outer Seraj of Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Above
the sea level and it is surrounded by thick forest. The local people associate the lake
with Buddhi Nagin (Goddess of snakes). A small temple of Buddhi Nagin overlooks
the lake from its north side. There is a stone in the bank of lake which people worship
and pour Ghee on it. They claim the lake’s water possess medicinal properties. A
small temple to Buddhi Nagin overlooks the lake from its North side. The name of
Serolsar is derived from the combination of two words, which is derived from the
Pahadi language of Kullu District, Serol & Sar which means stream and pond.
