Lama Lake or Laam Dal is a high-altitude lake located in Piura Dhar; district Chamba
(45 km from Chamba main town). It is about 30 miles east of Chamba very near too
the historic Balaini pass. Here you will be able to witness the seven tarns. This
particular tarn is considered to be the largest in this group and also all over the
district. It has an approximate radius of one and a half miles. It is because of this that
it is known as a Lamba Dal meaning long lake. The pronunciation is Lama Dal by the
natives. In this lake you can visit the small Shiva temple.
